Terms of service

Docubox converts and processes documents you upload, lets you download the results, and, once you have an account, lets you save documents in a private workspace. Only tools listed on the tools page are offered; limits shown on each tool page are the limits we enforce. We may add, change, or withdraw tools.

You sign in with Google or a one-time email code. You are responsible for keeping access to that email account or Google account secure. You must be at least [minimum age to be set by owner] to create an account. One person owns each workspace.

Results you have not saved are temporary. They expire 24 hours after the upload session starts, whether or not you signed in or downloaded them. Signing in does not save a file. A document is saved only when you explicitly save it and we confirm the copy into your workspace.

Saved documents stay until you delete them. Deleted documents are kept in the trash for 7 days unless you permanently delete them sooner. The file retention page is part of these terms.

You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important. We are not a backup service.

You agree not to:

• upload or process content that is illegal, that infringes someone else’s rights, or that you do not have the right to use;
• upload malware or content designed to disrupt the service or other users;
• circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or the sign-in requirement, including by creating accounts repeatedly to reset allowances;
• probe, scan, or test the service for vulnerabilities other than by reporting them to us as described on the security page;
• resell or offer the service to third parties as your own, or use automated access beyond ordinary personal use.

We may suspend or limit accounts that violate these rules.

The Free plan is free of charge and subject to the allowances published on the pricing page. The Pro plan is a paid subscription billed monthly or annually in US dollars through Stripe at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe (9.99 USD per month or 99 USD per year as currently planned). Prices and allowances may change for future periods with notice.

Allowances are counted as described on the pricing page. We do not charge for a conversion that fails on our side.

You can cancel a subscription at any time. Cancelling does not delete anything: your plan stays active through the end of the period you paid for, and your account then moves to the Free plan. If your saved storage exceeds the Free limit, existing documents remain available to open, download, and export, new saves are blocked, and you have at least 30 days to export or reduce storage before any over-quota removal could apply. We will not require a new payment to recover files inside that window.

You can delete your account at any time from your settings; this removes your saved documents and account data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonably possible, and will give you a reasonable opportunity to export your documents unless doing so would be unlawful or harmful.

You keep all rights to the files you upload and the results we produce for you. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process, and return them to you as part of the service. We do not use your documents to train AI models.

The service is provided as is. We do not promise that any conversion will be perfect for every input, that the service will be available at all times, or that temporary files will remain available beyond their published expiry.

We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
