Temporary versus saved files
Signing in does not keep a file. Only saving does.

Every conversion result starts as a temporary file. It is available for 24 hours after the upload session began, to you or to anyone with your session, and then access ends. The result page shows the exact expiry date and time.
Signing in does not change this. Your account lets you see and download the result, but the file is still temporary until you save it. Downloading does not extend the window either.
Saving makes a verified copy into your documents. We only show the file as saved after that copy has been confirmed. From then on it is kept until you delete it and it counts toward your storage allowance.
Deleted documents go to the trash for 7 days, where you can restore them. After that, or when you permanently delete them, the file is removed.
Copies you have already downloaded are on your own device and are not affected by any of this.
