This WebP to PDF converter puts WebP images into a single PDF, one image per page, so they open in places that do not take WebP. The conversion runs on Docubox's servers, and you sign in with a free account (Google or an emailed code, no password) to download the PDF.
WebP is an image format made for the web. Depending on how it was saved, it can be lossy or lossless, can include transparency, and can even be animated, and it is usually smaller than the same picture as JPG or PNG. Current browsers display it without trouble, but plenty of other software has been slower to support it.
Some programs outside the browser, especially older ones, cannot open WebP, and some forms and print services ask for a PDF. Putting the images in a PDF gives you pages that open in a standard viewer, with a fixed order and, if you choose A4 or Letter, a uniform paper size.
No. A PDF page is a still picture. For an animated WebP, Docubox uses the first frame and shows a note on the result page. If you need a later frame, export it as its own image first and convert that one.
WebP is built to be compact, often through lossy compression. Docubox stores each decoded image as PNG inside the PDF, which keeps every pixel but takes far more space. Any WebP gets bigger; a simple graphic stays small in absolute terms, while a photograph can grow many times over.
The PDF shows exactly the pixels the WebP decodes to, with no further lossy step. Anything already lost when the WebP was saved stays lost, and transparent areas turn white. If the WebP is rotated by a metadata flag, the page shows it upright.
Yes to the account, which is free and uses Google or an emailed one-time code. The files are temporary: access ends 24 hours after you start, and a download does not extend that or delete anything. Choose Save to my documents to keep a copy until you delete it.
